Online European Rally Championship (ERC), which is organized by the International Automobile Federation (FIA), published a map showing the borders of Ukraine without Crimea.
The published ERC infographic shows the dates of the competitions in 2023, as well as a map of Europe. Speaker of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleg Nikolenko said that the embassy was instructed to sort it out.
After the outbreak of a full-scale war of Russia against Ukraine, the FIA introduced obligations that all Russian and Belarusian participants must sign in order to participate in any competition organized by the federation.
Thus, Belarusians and Russians should note that they recognize “the strong commitment of the FIA in solidarity with the people of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Automobile Federation and all those suffering as a result of the ongoing conflict.”
In addition, they must agree that they can take part in events as neutrals, not representatives of Russia or Belarus, and must not display Russian or Belarusian symbols.
