Elina stole the victory from Clara. Svitolina reached the final of the tournament in Strasbourg
Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina (WTA 508) reached the final of the WTA 250 clay tournament in Strasbourg (France).
In the 1/2 finals of the competition, the Ukrainian beat Clara Burel (France, WTA 122) in 2 hours and 22 minutes.

In the second game, the Ukrainian lost 1:4 with a break, but won 4 games in a row and went to serve for the set. It was not possible to immediately close the game behind her, Clara made a break, but then Elina again took the Frenchwoman’s serve and successfully served in the 12th game.
Before the start of the third installment, Svitolina received a great psychological advantage. The Ukrainian immediately took the lead with a break, winning the first game, but with a score of 3:2 she could not keep the advantage – Burel took Svitolina’s serve. But again followed by a reverse break from Elina, after which Burel was no longer able to take a single game. The result is 6:3.
It was the second meeting of tennis players. Svitolina won all the fights.
Elina made her 13th match since returning to tennis, winning seven. For Svitolina, this will be the first final since 2021, when she won the WTA 250 hard tournament in Chicago.
In the final of the competition in Strasbourg, Svitolina will play with Anna Blinkova. In 2020, Elina took the title on these courts.
