FIFA has decided to extend the rule that allows foreign players and coaches to suspend contracts with Ukrainian and Russian clubs. The rule has been extended until 30 June 2024, provided clubs are informed in writing by 1 July of the current year.
However, this rule has a number of limitations:
– it does not apply to players and coaches who are still playing or coaching Ukrainian or Russian clubs

Players whose contracts have been suspended under this rule will not be able to:
– be subject to transfer or rent on a fee basis
– sign a contract with another Ukrainian or Russian club
