Honda is back in Formula 1. Aston Martin will buy engines
Honda has announced that it will return to Formula 1 as an engine supplier from the 2026 season, when the new engine regulations come into effect.
And the Japanese manufacturer already has the first partner. From 2026, the Aston Martin team, which now uses Mercedes power plants, will purchase Honda engines.
Honda returned to F1 as an engine supplier in 2015, but decided to leave the sport in 2021. Now the Japanese are back again.
