“I still can’t say where I’m going next”
33-year-old Ukrainian winger of Al Ain Andriy Yarmolenko summed up the results of his debut season in the UAE.
“The most difficult thing was to adapt to the weather conditions. Never in my life have I had to play at a temperature of 40 degrees. A little hot, to be honest, but I’m used to it. Overall, I’m happy with the season. Of course, I wanted to win the championship and the Cup, but this is football – sometimes you win, and sometimes you lose. When you lose a game, it should become your motivation. This means that you need to train more and never give up.
Of course, this is a new experience. Good experience. I’m happy with what I saw. I found many new friends, watched the level of football, lived in this country. For now, I can’t say where I’m going next. I have one more month of the contract. When the agreement ends, we will sit down and think,” Yarmolenko said.
This season, Yarmolenko has played 28 matches in which he scored 12 goals and gave 4 assists.
