“I’m happy for Bushchan and Shaparenko. Nikolai is not 100% ready”
Dynamo beat Kolos 3-0 in the match of the Ukrainian championship, and coach Oleksandr Shovkovskiy noted the return of goalkeeper Georgiy Bushchan and midfielder Mykola Shaparenko after injuries.
– Firstly, I want to congratulate all Dynamo fans on the victory and thank our defenders for the fact that there is an opportunity to host Ukrainian Premier League matches, our warriors, glorious Heroes who defend our country. We wish all of us to win the desired victory as soon as possible, we wish everyone to return home safe and sound. This is the first and most important thing I want to say.
Secondly, regarding the match – we understood that it would be a completely different game compared to the one that was in the last round, we were preparing for a difficult match with a team that would build its defensive ranks and act on counterattacks. Some succeeded, some didn’t. It’s good that we played to zero. I am happy for Zhora Buschan, who finally returned to the main team. This is his first game this year. I am very happy for Nikolai Shaparenko, we also wanted to give him such an opportunity, although he is not yet one hundred percent ready. We want him to be even more motivated to work, to prepare and maybe to be at his best in time for the national team matches, so that he will help the country’s main team to win important victories.
We also support our youth and look to the future. I would like to add that today’s match is special for me because today is my mother’s birthday. I want to wish her a happy birthday.
