Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson noted how many players the team has added thanks to the work with head coach Pep Guardiola:
“If you look at our team, you can see that Haaland is probably the only player who made all the headlines when he joined the club. People like me, Aymeric Laporte, John Stones, Rubén Dias and Bernardo Silva were not football stars when they moved to City.
We’ve gotten a lot better working with Pep because he’s able to get the most out of every player. This is definitely one of his strengths. Players trust him and his process.
He is very demanding, but at the same time he gives us the freedom and confidence to be ourselves on the pitch. It’s amazing how many players have been added working with him at City. This is madness”.
