French “Lille” intends in the near future to offer 33-year-old left-back Ismaily to extend his contract with the club for another year.
In the current contract, which is valid until June 30, there is an option for automatic prolongation, however, it can only be activated if Ismaily plays a certain number of matches.
It is reported that the experienced Brazilian will no longer be able to play the number of matches necessary for the automatic extension of the contract, but Lille are still determined to keep the ex-Shakhtar full-back in their ranks for the next season.
Earlier it was reported that Ismaily could leave Lille in the summer if Paulo Fonseca leaves the post of head coach of the team.
En cas de qualification européenne, le LOSC pourrait tenter de négocier un nouveau prêt pour André Gomes, qui se plaît à Lille.
Quant à Ismaily, puisqu’il ne jouera pas assez de matches pour déclencher l’option, une prolongation lui sera proposée.
