Minay and Rukh played in a goalless draw
In the match of the 28th round of the Ukrainian Premier League, Mynay hosted Rukh Lviv at its home stadium. The teams are direct competitors in the struggle to maintain residence in the elite division, so it is not surprising that there was a fierce struggle on the field, from which everyone wanted to emerge victorious.
There were few dangerous moments in the first half. Perhaps the best opportunity to open the score was Yegor Tverdokhleb, who hit the crossbar of Rukh’s goal in the stoppage time for the first half of the match. The teams went to the break with zeros on the scoreboard.
In the second half, the game was not much different from the first. Both teams tried to attack, but the goalkeepers didn’t have much to do. Players of “Minaj” were densely located in the penalty area and played on rebound, while “Rukh” had only five players who went on the attack and could not get past the opponent’s defense.
During the counterattacks, “Minaj” was ahead only of the forward, who alone was also powerless against six opponents. Therefore, it is not surprising that the match ended in a goalless draw.
“Menay”, having scored the 30th credit in the standings, rose to the 9th line, and “Rukh” remained 13th with 28 points and risks playing in transitional matches if it does not overtake the rivals after the two remaining rounds.
