Ajax have officially said goodbye to their legend, defender Daly Blind. His contract was valid until the summer of 2023, but was terminated ahead of schedule at the request of the player.
Blind expressed a desire to move to Antwerp, and Ajax, out of respect for their legend, agreed to let the defender go, although they did not want to lose him. Antwerp is now led by Dutch ex-footballers: the head coach is Mark Van Bommel, and the technical director is Mark Overmars.
Blind is a graduate of Ajax and played for the first team in 2008-2014 and 2018-2022.
