PMC Wagner may become a sponsor of the women’s basketball club from the Russian Federation

The women’s basketball club “Platov” from Rostov-on-Don is negotiating sponsorship with PMC “Wagner”. For this, the team, led by a participant in the Russian-Ukrainian war, is even ready to change its name.

It is reported that BC “Platov” independently contacted the company of Evgeny Prigozhin and offered to become his technical and general sponsor. There has not yet been an official response, the proposal is under discussion.

According to the source, “Platov” is looking for a new sponsor because of debts, which accumulated over 760 thousand rubles over the past year.

Platov’s president, Valentin Makogonov, is associated with the Wagner PMC, where he fought in the war and lost his arm.
