“Shakhtar will become champions not thanks to Jovićević, but in spite of it”
Former Dynamo striker and now expert Viktor Leonenko commented on Shakhtar Donetsk’s victory over Zorya Luhansk (3:0) in the match of the 28th round of the Ukrainian Premier League.
“Firstly, Zorya just burned out, and secondly, you need to say “thank you” to Snurnitsin, who got a red card and let the team down. As Rykun said: “If you don’t want to play, then just change” (laughs – approx.).
Shakhtar managed to congratulate their fans on the anniversary of the club’s founding, giving nothing to create Zorya at their gates, except for the moment of Imerekov, when he shot a header after a set piece.
The Zorya players created problems for themselves, they had a lot of cuts and marriage. The Lugansk team itself forced Shakhtar to run forward.
I congratulated Shakhtar a long time ago, at the beginning of the season I said that they would become champions. And this is not thanks to Jovicevich, but rather in spite of it. To be honest, I don’t like the way Shakhtar play – they walk. But even with a bad game, the Donetsk team scores points thanks to individual skill.
De Zerbi impressed me much more than Jovicevic. He improvised, constantly ran and worried. The Italian opened the same Mudrik, although I believe that he has not had time to open up yet, but is still a substitute. De Zerby proved he’s a good manager by making a splash in the Premier League with starless Brighton. Jovićević is not so bold,” Leonenko said.
