Croatia coach Zlatko Dalic believes that the winter World Cup helped small, not top teams, as in the middle of the club season a large number of players are in optimal shape.
“The small teams have had the biggest advantage, their players came to the tournament in optimal condition, all the players who can bet on are perfectly prepared.”
“Although, I think, all the teams benefited from the winter World Cup. As for club football… Further, the players may have problems, especially those who stayed at the World Cup until the later stages, who played many matches in a month.
“Some clubs may have problems,” Dalic said.
The Croatian national team will play against Morocco on Saturday in the match for third place in the 2022 World Cup.
