Zhytomyr football club “Polesie” signed the 26-year-old Ukrainian defender Sergei Chobotenko from Kolos.

This season, Chobotenko has played 24 matches for Kolos, in which he scored two goals. At one time, Sergei was in the system of Dynamo Kyiv and Shakhtar Donetsk, where he played for junior and youth teams. However, debut in the first teams of eminent clubs in Ukraine did not work out.
In the 2023/24 season, Polesie will play in the Premier League. In the current campaign, the Zhytomyr team secured the 1st or 2nd place ahead of schedule according to the results of the First League. “Polesie” for the first time in history will perform in the top division of Ukraine.
