Svitolina spoke about working with a new coach

Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina spoke about working with trainer Ramon Slater, who has been working with her since her return.

“Our cooperation is going well. I really like Raymond as a coach, he both corrects and also gives me free rein to play the way I see it, the way I want. We work out a lot of combinations. There is a lot going on in my head right now when I play. Maybe the picture of my game is not yet completely folded, but over time it will merge into one.

At the moment we are working on everything to make me feel comfortable. Now I try to just relax and play matches like in training.

I’m glad Slater played well himself and knows what it’s like to be back on tour. He also had such a period when, due to family problems, he stopped his career for 3-4 years and then returned to a good level. He understands and knows my feelings now. We don’t have a race as such to win big tournaments now. At the moment, the concentration is at work, in training, and then you need to go to the match and try to repeat the same thing, try to stay on the same emotional level, ”said Svitolina.

45-year-old Dutch ex-tennis player Ramon Slater climbed to 46th place in the world classification and played four times in the finals of ATP tournaments.
