The calendar won’t. Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix will not take place this season
According to media reports, the leadership of Formula 1 does not expect that he will be able to hold the Grand Prix of Emilia-Romagna this season.
The stage was supposed to take place this weekend, but due to flooding in the region, the race was canceled with the prospect of being postponed to another date. However, in the summer, F-1 has an already busy calendar: three stages in June and three stages in July, and after that a mandatory pause in August.
In September, there are again three stages on the calendar, and then F-1 leaves Europe, so it will be logistically impossible to return to Italy for the sake of one stage.
It is reported that Formula 1 will automatically extend the contract with the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix for one season to make up for the lack of a stage this year.
The 2023 season calendar originally included a record 24 races, but first due to the coronavirus, the race was canceled in China, and now in Emilia-Romagna.
