“There is no reason to stop.” Mercedes wants to extend Hamilton’s contract

Formula 1 team boss Toto Wolff has said he plans to renew the contract with driver Lewis Hamilton before the start of the new season.

The 38-year-old driver’s contract ends at the end of the year.

“Negotiations with Hamilton are scheduled for the winter, but we do not have a deadline. We have a lot to do and the Lewis contract is one of those that needs to be addressed. I’m sure Hamilton will stay with us. Lewis is part of the team, and the team is already part of Lewis.”

“I see no reason to stop and not renew the contract,” Wolff said.
