Will he play for USO? Svitolina did not show up for Wimbledon on a protected rating

The official website of Wimbledon has published a list of tennis players who were included in the official application for the tournament in 2023.

The list was topped by the first racket of the world, Iga Sventek, the last in the rating was No. 102 Lucia Bronzetti.

Of the Ukrainians, Angelina Kalinina, Marta Kostyuk, Lesya Tsurenko and Kateryna Beindl will play at the base of the rating. Elina Svitolina did not use the protected rating and, most likely, will use it in order to not get into the main US Open 2023 (using the protected rating, you can only apply for 2 majors out of 4 in the year, Elina has already used it 1 time at Roland Garros 2023).

According to the protected rating, the following tennis players plan to play:

Barbora Strytsova Daria Saville Jacqueline Christian Sara Sorribes-Tormo Margarita Betova

The alternative list of Ukrainians includes Dayana Yastremska, Daria Snigur and Katarina Zavatskaya.
