Legendary ex-Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher explained why he included Ukrainian Oleksandr Zinchenko in his Premier League Team of the Season:

“I chose Zinchenko, and I really think that lately, together with Arsenal, he has given up in the game in defense. But I can’t forget January and February when Arsenal were in great form and Zinchenko took on a huge responsibility in the midfield position, especially in games where they scored at the end.

In my opinion, Zinchenko played a huge role in the success of Arsenal. I also think that he and Gabriel Jesus have significantly raised the overall level of the team.”
